We just love our good friend, Onyx at Guilford County Animal Services!! 🥰Onyx is here to give a friendly reminder that tomorrow starts BISSELL Pet Foundation's #EmptyTheShelters event! Onyx is an 8 year old gentleman who arrived at the shelter in late March. He is heartworm negative, neutered and ready to find his new home. Onyx is a perfect blend of smarts and relaxation, making him an ideal addition to any family. Onyx is already well-versed in basic commands like sit, down, and shake, showcasing his intelligence and eagerness to please. Despite his age, he enjoys occasional bouts of playfulness, especially when it comes to his favorite activity—rolling around in the grass or playing with toys. When it's time for a walk, Onyx shines on leash, demonstrating excellent leash manners that make him a pleasure to take for strolls around the neighborhood. He's had positive experiences with various dogs of all types but would likely prefer a canine companion who matches his chill, laid-back style over the wild puppy type. Onyx is mostly indifferent to meeting new dog friends, showing his easy-going nature. He’d also be just fine living as the solo canine in a home! While Onyx is friendly and loving with people and children, he would do best in a home without cats due to his natural instincts. He has had positive experiences with children, though, and is known for his gentle demeanor around them. Watch out! Sometimes, this boy will lean in hard for some lovins!Onyx is great in public settings, where he behaves admirably and enjoys social interactions. Although he's not crate trained, he can be left alone in the house without being destructive, showcasing his trustworthiness indoors. He is also housetrained, ensuring a smooth transition into your home.If you are interested in meeting Onyx, please contact Kendelle Federico at 336-266-4138 via text message or email .Onyx’s Shelter Page: www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/GCAS-A-18766 ...
